Madison Veasey graduated from East Carolina University where she received her M.S. in Clinical Counseling. She is dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist- Associate. Madison completed her internship at Freedom House Recovery Center in the detox unit where she provided brief crisis counseling for those experiencing withdrawal from drugs and alcohol. In the past, Madison completed her practicum at the ECU Center for Counseling and Student Development where she worked with students with minor alcohol and drug sanctions as well as providing outreach education to the ECU community. Madison was fortunate enough to have had three graduate assistantships, one with the ECU LGBT Resource Office, the Office of Global Academic Initiatives, as well as one with the Dean of Students Office. Madison utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and counsels through the Humanist perspective.
