CBT Therapy

CBT Therapy is based on the notion that negative thoughts directly affect our emotions, which in turn lead to negative actions.  By recognizing maladaptive thought patterns, the client becomes more able to challenge irrational thoughts, increase the ability to think clearly, thus increasing the likelihood of responding in a more effective manner. Clients collaborate with a therapist in identifying negative thoughts about self and the world and challenging these beliefs.  CBT interventions may be used in individual and/or group sessions. CBT is an Evidenced-Based treatment approach that has been used to treat individuals with depression, anxiety, insomnia, bipolar disorder, and other mental health issues.
