Intensive Outpatient Program is a structured program of outpatient psychiatric services. It can be as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric care and also can help with recovery after an inpatient treatment. The program runs during the day and doesn’t require an overnight stay. It can provide most of the benefits of inpatient treatment in a less restrictive setting. The program includes medication management, individual, group and family therapy.
