TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a modern form of “brain stimulation” to treat many psychiatric and neurological disorders including Depression and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder).
How TMS Clinic Works:
TMS uses a non-invasive, brief magnetic activity to stimulate brain areas known to affect mood and other conditions. Treatments are usually administered 5 days a week over the course of 4-6 weeks. A typical session lasts around 15-30 minutes, and patients can resume their normal activities immediately after receiving treatment.
- Safe and alternative to ECT and without potential side effects of medications
- Comfortable and quick treatment sessions
- Safe for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- No requirement of anesthesia versus ECT
Use & Safety:
TMS is FDA approved treatment for major depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. It is also beneficial for other conditions like anxiety, chronic pain, autism, dissociative disorders and substance abuse disorders.
