Dual Diagnoses

Dual diagnosis term is used for when someone has a mental illness and a substance use disorder at the same time. People experiencing a mental health condition may turn to alcohol or other drugs as a form of self-medication to feel better. People who start using drugs first often have underlying mental health conditions. Some estimates suggest that 7.9 million people in the U.S. experience both a mental disorder and substance use disorder simultaneously.

The best treatment for dual diagnosis is combined treatment for both their mental illness and substance abuse. Our clinic set up is unique because we offer combined treatment options for all age groups. Our clinic is also equipped to offer less intensive treatment or more intensive treatment based on the clients needs at the same location.
